Cannes Craft Tracks Elevate Sound and Light
Here is my read after a week of calls with marketers: Film Craft and Industry Craft winners kept tactile production in the spotlight.
What matters for teams on the ground is simpler: what changed this week, what to test next, and what to refuse by default.
- Measure recognition, not only starts
- Budget craft into launch packages
- Treat podcasts as programming, not dumps

I still talk to strategists who celebrate a launch week and then skip the autopsy. That is how budgets vanish. Schedule the review before the campaign starts, while everyone still agrees what success meant.
In practice, I ask teams to write the refusal list first: which automated edits are unacceptable, which placements are off-limits, and which metrics will kill the test. Without that list, every platform “enhancement” becomes a quiet rewrite of the brief.
